How the Birthday Groups Work (2nd, 3rd, or 4th Wednesday)

By WhenIsMyCheck Editorial TeamLast updated:

Quick answer: If you are not in the “paid on the 3rd” group, your birthday day‑of‑month places you into the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Wednesday group.
  • 1st–10th → 2nd Wednesday.
  • 11th–20th → 3rd Wednesday.
  • 21st–31st → 4th Wednesday.
  • If payday is a holiday, it moves to the prior business day.
